Meet The Doctors
DR. DANIE OOSTHUIZEN, D.C.
Born in Saskatchewan, and raised in Smiths Falls, Ontario. I decided to pursue my degree in kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 2016. Fast forward two years to meeting my stunning wife who would soon open my eyes to the world of Chiropractic. From the day I first stepped foot into my father-in-law’s office, the premise of this amazing profession made so much sense to me. More so than any other profession or approach to health that I had previously been exposed to. This idea that my body was designed to be healthy, not sick, and that ability for my body to heal was dependent upon my nervous system. So we traveled to Hayward, California in July 2020 to begin an unforgettable journey at Life Chiropractic College West.
The real reason I wanted to enter into a profession focused on the health and well-being of others was because, for over 20 years, my mom battled with constant migraines. I watched as she suffered, endlessly. Week after week, she’d be stuck in bed, unable to do the little things she loved to do, like long walks around the block, skiing, or playing tennis. It hurt my heart to sit idly by and watch someone I cared about so much suffer so badly.
I am beyond thankful that my mom managed to find an upper cervical chiropractor who had the knowledge and ability to help her while I was still in school. Rather than continuing to live with all these challenges for another three years of her life.
I, Dr. Danie Oosthuizen, firmly believe that no one on this earth deserves to live in that much discomfort and I pray that health and wellness become a household priority so kids can grow up knowing that their body has an amazing healing potential that works from the inside, out.
DR. KIERA OOSTHUIZEN, D.C.
I am a second-generation Chiropractor that received my first adjustment when I was 10 minutes old. From a young age, I would always say that I wanted to be a Chiropractor just like my dad. It wasn’t until I worked in his clinic as a Chiropractic Assistant that I truly fell in love with the profession and all it has to offer. I watched first-hand how people’s lives were impacted and changed while being under care and I knew that I needed to help people in the same way. I attended the University of Waterloo where I graduated in 2019 with a BSc in Honors Kinesiology before attending Life Chiropractic College West in California to obtain my Chiropractic Degree. My passion is to help people understand that their bodies are designed to heal and function at 100% when free from interference. My goal is to help people suffering from chronic health conditions get their lives back and continue fulfilling their life’s purpose.
