Upper Cervical Chiropractic
WHAT IS UPPER CERVICAL CHIROPRACTIC?
FAQs
WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?
It’s one of the largest natural healthcare professions in the world. Chiropractor’s are primarily focused on some underlying issue with the nervous system that has gone undetected, finding the cause of that dysfunction, and correcting that dysfunction as precisely as possible.
IS CHIROPRACTIC SAFE?
Yes Chiropractic care is safe. We run a series of tests at the initial visit and each subsequent office visit to make absolutely sure that a correction is necessary that particular day. If these tests indicate that your nervous system is functioning optimally, that tells us that no chiropractic intervention is necessary at that time.
ARE X-RAYS NECESSARY?
In our office, yes. The upper cervical spine is extremely complex. To make sure that we are providing you with the best possible care for your specific case, we need to see to know. We will not guess with your care.
ARE X-RAYS SAFE?
Yes. Modern digital x-ray machines are extremely efficient and the x-ray dosage is minimal. You can read more about it HERE.
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS TO LOOK FOR WHEN LOOKING FOR A CHIROPRACTOR?
The #1 thing you should look for in a chiropractor is someone who talks about and is focused on the function of your nervous system. Pain is one of the last signs of dysfunction so there is a lot more happening within your body before you physically feel it. A side effect of restoring optimal neurological function - which allows your body to heal itself - is that your pain may go away. Chiropractic is about so much more than pain relief. It’s about your true healing potential.
I DON'T HAVE SYMPTOMS, SHOULD I STILL SEE A CHIROPRACTOR?
YES. In our office, everything we do is based on the function of your nervous system and how well your brain is able to communicate with the rest of your body. Upper neck correction’s are not given based on how you feel, but on the clinical necessity to restore the proper neurological flow of information from your brain to each of the trillions of cells in your body.
IF I GO ONCE, DO I HAVE TO GO FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?
Absolutely not. However, we will always give you our best recommendations so once you have completed your corrective care plan, we will recommend you continue to get the function of your nervous system assessed by one of our doctors. The frequency for each individual will be different based on how well your body is able to hold the upper neck correction.
